Facial consultations at our Montreal clinic are intended to clarify skin priorities, maintenance goals, and whether another treatment should be discussed alongside regular facial care. Some patients are focused on hydration and radiance, while others want to plan around sensitivity, texture, congestion, seasonal changes, or timing before an event.
Who may want to discuss a facial consultation?
A facial consultation can be useful when you want a practical skin plan but are not sure which treatment intensity fits your skin history. During the visit, we review current products, recent procedures, sensitivity, acne-prone areas, dryness, and your tolerance for visible redness or downtime. This helps determine whether a maintenance facial, a treatment-focused facial, or another skin service should be discussed.
How treatment planning works
The goal is not to choose the most intensive option by default. We look at what your skin can reasonably tolerate, how often you want to come in, and whether you are preparing for an occasion or building a longer-term routine. Patients often use the consultation to ask what to stop before treatment, what to continue at home, and how facial care can support broader skin goals.
Aftercare and timing
Aftercare depends on the facial selected and your skin's baseline sensitivity. In general, patients should plan around sun exposure, active home products, and important events. Consultation gives us room to discuss what is realistic, what should be avoided temporarily, and when another appointment may be considered.
